If you opt for moving only the large furniture, you can easily customize your move on our website. Want to move your entire household? You can quickly calculate a price estimate on our website. If it fits your budget, go ahead and schedule a home visit right away!

How far in advance should I plan the move?

Is it a large move, such as the entire household of a family home? In that case, we recommend scheduling the move at least 6 to 10 weeks in advance. For smaller moves from apartments or just the large furniture, you can schedule with us 3 to 6 weeks in advance.

I don't know my moving date yet, what now?

Accepted Answer

No problem, even if you don't know exactly when you will move, you can make a calculation via our website and get an overview of the costs. Please note that there is a 30% surcharge on Saturdays and 50% on Sundays.

Yes! Your house and belongings are insured up to € 23.000,- without any own risk.

What happens if my items are damaged?

We resolve small damages as follows: damages to items are repaired or compensated through a discount on the moving price, in consultation with you. This will be discussed directly after the move with the senior mover.For repairs, we take the damaged item with us after the move and bring it to one of our trusted repair/renovation specialists.We do not have an excess; all repair damages are covered by us.Insurance can only be activated if there is an original purchase receipt availabl

Can I also purchase protective materials from Student Movers

Of course! All our moving vans are equipped with moving blankets to help protect your furniture during transport.
In addition, specific protective materials can be useful when packing and protecting your belongings. These include packing paper, bubble wrap, mattress covers, floor protection and stretch wrap.
All these products are available for purchase in our webshop, so you can ensure your belongings are properly packed and protected for moving.

Can I still save on the price as stated in the quotation?

Yes. Quotations are always calculated on a "worst-case scenario". In addition, our quotations are always based on post calculation. Fewer hours worked, up to a minimum of 3 hours, are therefore not charged. A good preparation and the possible use of our own helpers can help you save a lot on the final moving costs.

How much does a move cost?

The cost of a move depends on several factors. The main factors are; the size of the household effects, the distance between the residential addresses and the choice whether you want us to disassemble and assemble the furniture.

Is there a weekend surcharge?

Our employees receive a surcharge on weekends. As a result, our moves on Saturdays are 30% more expensive, and on Sundays, they are 50% more expensive than on weekdays.

Can you also store items (temporarily)?

Certainly! Student Movers has a brand-new storage facility in Weert, about 20 minutes south of Eindhoven. Here, we can store your furniture clean, dry, and safe, with insurance coverage up to €23,000! The first 2 months are free, and after that, it costs €47,50 per 5m² per month. Our service is fully flexible, so you decide how long your items stay.
We pick up your belongings from your old home, store them securely in our facility, and then deliver them to your new home. Please note: This is not a self-storage service, so you cannot access your items personally.

Can you also dismantle and assemble furniture?

Of course! Each moving team includes at least one mover who can disassemble and reassemble the most common furniture. You can choose which furniture you’d like us to handle. We will then take these pieces apart at your old address and reassemble them at your new home. Please note: We cannot assist with lamps, wall cabinets, or gas connections.

Can we rent a moving lift separately from you?

No, we only use our moving lift when booking a full moving service. For a standalone moving lift service in Eindhoven, it's best to contact Verhuislift Service Kusters.

Can I lend moving boxes?

Accepted Answer

If your move exceeds €1000,- you can borrow standard moving boxes for free from Student Movers. If your move is cheaper, the rental fee is €1.00 per box. In both cases, you'll pay a deposit of €2.50 per box. The deposit will be refunded if you return the boxes within 3 months after the moving date.

How many moving boxes do I need?

It’s very important to have enough moving boxes on hand. Loose items (that would fit in a box) take much more time to move and are not insured. Through our years of experience, we know that the number of boxes needed is often underestimated. In our moving box & materials webshop, we offer advice on the number of boxes you’ll need.

Can you also pack boxes?

Preferably not. Our young movers are more focused on and better at the physical lifting work and technical tasks, such as disassembling and assembling furniture.
